I hope everyone had a great Christmas Holiday, surrounded by friends, family, and lots of good food :) The Band Office re-opened on January 4th and everything is back in full swing.
There are many meetings coming up in January, including Economic Development Strategic Planning meetings. These will be held on Monday evenings, starting on January 17th. They will start at 5pm, and include dinner and snacks. These meetings are open to all Gwa'sala-'Nakwaxda'xw community members.
Council meetings will be starting next Wednesday and every Wednesday after that, starting at 10am. If you have an issue you would like addressed by Council, please forward your requests in writing to Les Taylor, Band Manager, here at the Band Office. We are working on a better system to let community members know that your requests have been received and are being addressed.
Margaret Bernard, our Finance Manager, is back from medical leave and I will no longer be filling in in the finance department. Also, Reed Allen is the new principal at the Gwa'sala-'Nakwaxda'xw School.
