There have been many close calls recently with fire safety. Often these close calls happen because the wrong element was turned on. Please pay close attention any time you use the stove, oven, woodstove, heater, candle, or any other hot item. It is also important that your smoke alarm is working and has a good battery in it. Bob Swain will be coming around to all of the houses to make sure that yours is working. It’s a good idea to keep a fire extinguisher handy in your kitchen, but baking soda will also work to put out small fires.
